What Are Cellulites?
Cellulites are fat tissues found in certain regions of the body, mainly, but not entirely, the outer thighs, abdominal area and buttocks in women. Although rarer, men can also suffer with cellulites which are usually seen as regions that appear to be a lighter tone than the rest of the skin. A person with good circulation will have an even and smooth layer of skin but in a person with cellulites, fats become stored, along with other poisons, under the skin when under normal circumstances they would be washed out. Over time this fatty tissue hardens and develops what we call cellulites easily discovered as those regions giving an ‘orange peel’ effect to the skin.

There are many factors involved in how the cellulites will seem on any given individual as their weight, lifestyle and also their genetics all play an important role. Strangely, there are various forms of cellulites and being fat is only one of the causes of cellulite as active and fit women can also suffer and it is found in the muscles of active women such as dancers and athletes. The cellulites that cause the most problems are the hard or solid forms because they bind themselves to the muscular tissues and often affect more active persons. carbonated cellulites, although, are much more evident and may even seem to sag from the skin surface and while they happen in larger, muscle tissue regions, they are commonly easily removed.
Unfortunately, it’s women who are most often the ones with cellulite problems and they can start anytime after they turn 14 years of age plus as they grow older, the affected areas become larger. Cellulites have been linked to the contraceptive pill or when a woman has given birth and often it may even be triggered by an accident or injury.
Improving the circulation with physical exercise, combined with a healthy diet, will improve the appearance of cellulites and is still thought to be the best way to improve your cellulites condition. Although all types physical exercise can help, it is the diet that needs to be more specific: one that is detoxifying and contains plenty of fruit and vegetables. Whole grain foods are also hugely advocated but foods that should be avoided include regular favorites such as coffee and carbonated drinks.
Some individuals believe that eating spicy foods adds to the cellulites formation but no particular proof that this is the case has so far been brought to light. The build up of toxins in the body can also be avoided by not drinking alcohol or smoking. Although a low-fat diet is not necessary, some nutritionists recommend reducing the intake of fatty foods that are eaten as these are more hard to digest and to flush out of the system plus fats also contribute in the enlargement of the cellulites.
Patented cellulite emollients are often successful in the intervention and prevention of cellulites but presently they cannot completely eradicate the tissues. The creams that contain alpha-hydroxyl acid improve the elasticity of the skin making the cellulites less evident but do not actually get rid of the cellulites. Water therapy is also proving to be effective because it seems to make cellulites become less visible as it removes poisons in the body as well as fat and also tending in correct digestion and blood blood circulation.
